As long as you have a good blender, the type of oats shouldn't matter much. :) I usually will just use whatever I have on hand!

If using oats in your smoothie recipes, does it matter which oats you use. Can I use steel cut oats or should I use regular whole grain rolled oats? Also, does it matter if they are the quick cook kind or the slow cook over the stove type?

Thank you!

Yes! Coconut milk will have fewer calories than whole milk or half and half. But it still provides 75 calories per cup (read the nutrition label as brands vary).

Coconut milk has 75 calories per cup while oatmilk has 120 calories per cup. Read the nutrition labels, because some brands may have even more calories. I think if you like coconut milk, go for it! It sill has a lot more calories than unsweetened coconut milk (37 calories per cup). Best of luck!
